Namaskaram! Welcome to this blog. Slokas and Mantras have been an integral part of my life. Some of my sloka books have become old and torn. Unable to find good replacements, I decided to blog some of the slokas, hoping they would help a few others too. I would be typing them myself, so kindly forgive me for any incorrect tamil and hindi/sanskrit transliterations and please keep visiting.
Shiva Lingastakam is one of the most famous bhajans dedicated to Lord Shiva. Lingashtakam extols the greatness of Linga or Lingam – the symbol of Lord Shiva. It is believed that Lord Shiva appeared in the form of a pillar of fire with no end or beginning. Lingam is an attempt to give form to formless Brahman.
