प्रणम्य शिरसा देवं गौरी पुत्रं विनायकं
भक्तावासं स्मरेन्नित्यं आयुः कामार्थ सिद्धये
praNamya shirasA devam gowriputram vinAyakam
bhaktAvAsam smarennityam Ayuh kAmArtha siddhaye
By bowing with the head we offer obeisance before the son of Gowri, VinAyaka, whose abode is with the devotees, and who remember Him always for long life, success and fulfillment of desires.
प्रथमं वक्रतुण्डं च एकदन्तं द्वितीयकम्
तृतीयं कृष्ण पिग्ङाक्षं गजवक्त्रं चतुर्थकम्
prathamam vakratunDa cha ekadantam dwiteeyakam
triteeyam krishNa pingAksham gajavaktram chaturthakam
First is the name VakratunDa, One with a curved trunk, second ekadanta, the single-tusked One, third Krishnapingaksha, the black and reddish-brown-eyed One, fourth gajavaktra, the God with the face of an elephant.
लम्बोदरं पंचमं च षष्ठं विकट्मेव च
सप्तमं विघ्नराजं च धूम्रवर्णं तथाष्टकम्
lambodaram panchamam cha shashTham vikaTameva cha
saptamam vignarAjam cha dhoomravarNam thatAshtakam

Fifth name is lambodara, the God with a large belly, sixth is vikaTa, the gigantic One, seventh is vighnarAja, the Lord (and destroyer) of obstacles, dhumravarNa, the smoky-colored, is the eigth name.
नवमं भालचन्द्रं च दशमं तु विनायकं
एकादशं गणपतिम द्वादशं तु गजाननं
navamam balachandram cha dashamam tu vinayakam
ekAdasham gaNapatim dvadasham tu gajananam
ekAdasham gaNapatim dvadasham tu gajananam
Ninth name is bhAlachandra, One whose forehead is adorned by the moon, tenth, vinAyaka, the great leader, eleventh, GaNapati, the lord of gaNas, and twelfth gajAnana, the elephant-faced One.
द्वादशैतानि नामानि त्रिसन्ध्यं यः पठेन्नरः
न च विघ्नभयं तस्य सर्व सिद्धिकरं प्रभो
dwa dashaitaani naamaani trisandhyam yah paTen narah
na cha vignabhayam tasya sarva siddhikaram prabho
na cha vignabhayam tasya sarva siddhikaram prabho
By the blessings of Lord Ganesha whoever chants these twelve names during the three sandhyAs (morning twilight, noon, evening twilight), will not experience any fear of obstacles, and will achieve all successes.
विद्यार्थी लभते विद्यां धनार्थी लभते धनम्
पुत्रार्थी लभते पुत्रान् मोक्षार्थी लभते गतिम्
vidyArthI labhate vidyAm dhanArthI labhate dhanam
putrArthI labhate putrAn mokshArthI labhate gatim
He who desires wisdom, obtains wisdom; he who desires wealth, obtains wealth. He who desires sons, obtains sons; he who desires liberation attains liberation.
जपेद्गणपतिस्तोत्रं षड्भिर्मासै: फलं लभेत्
सम्वत्सरेण सिद्धिं च लभते नात्र संशय:
japedgaNapati stotram ShaDbhirmAsaih phalam labhet
samvatsareNa siddhim cha labhate nAtra samshayah
Whoever chants this hymn to ganapati reaches him in six months, and in one year he reaches perfection, there is no doubt about this.
अष्टेभ्यो ब्राह्मणेभ्यश्च लिखित्वा य: समर्पयेत्
तस्य विद्या भवेत्सर्वा गणेशस्य प्रसादत:
aShTebhyo brAhmaNebyascha likhitvA yah samarpayet
tasya vidyA bhavetsarvA gaNeshasya prasAdatah
Whoever makes copies of this and distributes them to eight Brahmana, he reaches wisdom immediately, due to the grace of Ganesha
॥ इति श्रीनारदपुराणे संकष्टनाशनं गणेशस्तोत्रं सम्पूर्णम्॥
iti shrI nAradapurANe sankaTanAshanam gaNesha stotram sampUrNam
