it is sarvamaya (sarva= all, amaya= diseases), vinashanaya = one who destroys.. so one who destroys all diseases. sarvamaye vinashanaye is not correct grammatically in sanskrit. Source : Kuzhikkattu pacha, an authentic historical source of mantras and observance of rituals ,rites throughout tantric traditions and temples in kerala by kuzhikkattillam one of the oldest illams in kerala. Dont know whether different in karanataka or tn

This is a powerful shloka, by repeating which incessantly one can get the desired fruit; because it contains the Lord's names eight times!

DeleteThere has been no mention about the number of times it has to be chanted. I usually chant it 3 times every time I chant. Its effectiveness, as with any other sloka, depends more on the faith of the one who chants. Some of the slokas I have shared in this blog have worked miracles in my life. So, I am sure this sloka too is equally effective. Please do try.
