गुरुर्ब्रह्मा गुरुर्विष्णुः गुरुर्देवो महेश्र्वरः

गुरुरेव परं ब्रह्म तस्मै श्री गुरवे नमः

 

gurur brahmA gurur vishNuh gurur devo maheshwarah

gurureva parabrahmA tasmai shrii gurave namah

अखण्ड-मण्डलाकारं व्याप्तं येन चराचरम्

तत्पदं दर्शितं येन तस्मै श्री गुरवे नमः

akhaNDa-maNDalAkAram vyAptam yena charAcharam

tatpadam darshitam yena tasmai shrii gurave namah

I salute that Guru who guides me to the Feet of that One who is all-pervading (who is present in all beings in this world).

मन्त्र मूलं गुरुर्वाक्यम्  मोक्ष मूलं गुरुर्कृपा ||

dhyAna moolam gururmUrtih poojA moolam gururpAdam 

mantra moolam gururvAkyam moksha moolam gururkrupA

The root of meditation is Guru's form, the root of worship is Guru's feet, the root of mantra is Guru's word, the root of liberation is Guru's grace.
