असतो मा सद्गमय
तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय
मृत्योर्मा अमृतं गमय
ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः
asato mA sadgamaya
tamaso mA jyotirgamaya
mrutyormA amrutam gamaya
Om shAntih shAntih shAntih
Lead me from unreal to Real.
Lead me from darkness (representing ignorance) to Light (representing clarity/Knowledge).
Lead me from death (representing dehatma buddhi) to Immortality (representing Realization of the Self).
