गङ्गे च यमुने चैव गोदावरी सरस्वती
नर्मदा सिन्धु कावेरी जलेस्मिन संनिधम् कुरु 

gange cha yamune chaiva godAvarI saraswatI
narmadA sindhu kAverI jalesmin sannidham kuru

கங்கே ச யமுனே சைவ கோதாவரி ஸரஸ்வதி
நர்மதா ஸிந்து காவேரி ஜலேஸ்மின் ஸந்நிதம் குரு

Meaning
O Holy Rivers Ganga and Yamuna, and also Godavari, SaraswatiNarmada, Sindhu and Kaveri; Please be Present in this Water Near Me (and make it Holy).
